3331 Oak Street

3331 Oak Street-2-EditThis two-story frame house was built c.1922 by N. G. Hammond for E.B. Chapman. The home is Colonial style and was recently renovated.

The current property owner moved to Jacksonville two years ago from Charleston, and was delighted to find a unique historic neighborhood that eased the transition. Adjusting to the change was made easier by friendly neighbors, who all stopped by to welcome the new owner during the first month they lived in the home.

The home was renovated prior to the homeowner purchasing the property, but after moving in, the homeowner spent time updating the exterior landscaping and site. The backyard has been transformed, with the addition of a covered porch, outdoor fireplace, and swimming pool. The front of the home was improved with brick sidewalks and driveway, landscape lighting, and a pergola.
