Built in 1922 by architect W.O. Sparklin and builder G.W. Hessler, this home is a relatively unique design in the Riverside area of the neighborhood. The home was constructed for C.H. Lloyd, general manager of the Cummer Lumber Company, and is situated on property that formed the southeastern corner of the old Magnolia Plantation.
Exterior features include cast-stone ornamentation around and above the main entrance, wrought-iron balconies, a porch lantern, arched French doors and an iron fence which repeats the arch motif. Interior features include detailed bas-relief and coffered ceilings, as well as a lovely central staircase.
