This spacious five bedroom, two-and-a-half bath Colonial Revival style home was built in 1909 for the G.W. Gibbs family. Gibbs was the Vice President and General Manager of the Gibbs Gas Engine Company of Florida. The home features the original hardwood floors, transom doors, and weighted wavy glass windows, but has been extensively updated, with new electric, bathrooms, and kitchen. The owner, Robert Handmaker, has a passion for reviving old houses and has won multiple awards for his efforts, including the 2018 Riverside Avondale Preservation Renovation Award for his renovation of this home. “These old homes speak to me,” he says, “and I derive much joy in providing homes to families.”
